FLO RIDA has offered to make amends to The Saturdays for twice beating them to No 1 by working with them on their next album.
The US rapper roared to the top of the singles charts on Sunday with Club Can’t Handle Me after a neck- and-neck race with the girlband in the midweeks.
And after previously pipping them to the post with Right Round, Flo offered to make sweet music with the lasses.
Calling me from his State-side abode, Flo said: “If we could make a collaboration happen I would be up for that.
“I don’t know much about The Saturdays but we put smiles on people’s faces when we make music, which counts more than getting number ones.”

How did you start performing?
I’ve liked being on stage from primary school. My uncle is Declan Nerney, who is quite a famous singer in Ireland, and my mum used to sing and gave me her guitar. I started writing songs at 12 and got into a few bands after school, gigging wherever I could, and then I got the audition to join The Saturdays.
What was the first song you wrote?
It was called I Miss You and was about my grandfather passing away. As I went along I started fancying boys and going out with them and writing revenge songs about being dumped. I’ve got books full of lyrics from when I was a teenager. It’s an amazing time to write because you experience those emotions for the first time and you never feel them as strongly again.
I love to write ‘I’m moving on and good riddance to you’ songs; it’s more difficult to write about being happy and in love.
Was it difficult to join a girl group after performing solo?
I’d played with bands, either acoustically or in jazz bands in restaurants or with rock bands. I’ve always worked with someone. I prefer it to working on my own. It’s a tough road on your own and I’ve had a great time with the girls.
